Cross Country

For Cross Country Day tomorrow, children are able to come to school in their cross country clothing (supporting house colours).  

Please remember to bring...
- a warm polarfleece/jacket
- a big drink of water
- fruit
- a nutritious lunch for energy (there is NO Pit Pit tomorrow)
- shoes for running
- lots of enthusiasm to do your best

The classroom blocks will be locked up after lunch until the event has finished.

Mufti Day Tomorrow - Friday 8th May

There will be a mufti day tomorrow to fundraise money for Jack Peacock to travel overseas to America. The theme for the day will blue, white and red. A gold coin donation would be gratefully accepted.

Courage Values Certificates - Week 1 and 2

ANZAC Biscuits

As part of our ANZAC studies, students had the opportunity to learn about the origins of ANZAC biscuits and also made some of their own. These biscuits were DELICIOUS! Thanks Mrs Peters and Mrs Coenders for helping us make these!





Measurement Rotations

For Mathematics this term we will be learning about measurement. Each teacher will focus on a different measurement concept. Mrs Thompson will be teaching about weight, Mr Radford will be teaching about length, perimeter and area and Mrs Peters will be teaching about time.

Book Week - Family Crests

As part of the Book Week celebrations, our students created a family crest. This was a competition run in the library, but we thought it was such a good idea that our Tautoko students created them in class. We hope to have them displayed in the POD in the next week, so watch this space.....





Book Week - Crowns, Hats and Tiara's Day

What a wonderful range of hats we had for our 'Crowns, Hats and Tiara's Day' for the 2015 Book Week at Whakarongo School. The students in the Tautoko POD looked FANTASTIC!
