With good cloud cover protecting us from too much sun, the day went well and all events were enjoyed throughout the day.

A BIG thank you to all the children for their fantastic effort and attitude.
Also to the assistance from Senior School, parent helpers and staff.   It was great to have so many family supporters come to cheer everyone on.

This Friday, 30th October, we are having a total BLACKOUT at school.
This means that you can wear Black, Black, Black clothing in support of our All Blacks playing in the big final this weekend.

No money, or donations - just the pride in supporting our 'boys in black'.

Children are working in pairs and have selected a Topic/Question of interest, formed sub-questions and completed independent research.  Presentations are coming together.   Check out our 'iTime' tab for more investigations to be added over the next few weeks.

Ag Day Reminder - What you need to bring.

This week we are busy getting our Ag Day Activities done.

This is a reminder for Tuesday to bring in
- A shoebox (if you are doing a shadowbox) and some decorations for this
OR
- Lego/K'nex/construction blocks (for a construction model).

We are supplying a limited amount of decorations for the picture frames, so if you have some that you think your child can create a farm scene/animal ... with, then please send this along too.

Friday:  a muffin is needed (just the one per child), along with some decorations they can create with, for the top.

Remember these are being created in the class, so please don't complete these at home.
We look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday.

WOW!  What a privilege it was to have Sam Putt, Madyson's Dad, came in and shared about his life and experiences of being a refugee in Cambodian.  He was such an engaging and inspirational speaker and he had the Tautoko Pod mesmerised.
Feel free to ask your child about something they learnt from Sam's life.
